I work with cloth and string and fiber to create hand-stitched texture landscapes in a variety of mediums. Through slow stitching, I entice the tough and tender to play together, to live in a delicate, harmonious balance. My work is very tactile, paths of stitches inviting touch and exploration of the textile geography. I believe in the power that truly handmade goods carry: the energy and spirit of the artisan whose hands brought them into being.

Things aren’t made like they used to be. Colonialism, industrialism and planned obsolescence, all fueled by greed have lead to a disposable economy. How do we break free of this cycle? Support local artisans keeping living craft traditions alive!

I strive to create with intention, to invoke beauty and utility in every work. I am mostly self-taught, heart-driven, and aim to use predominantly salvaged and thrifted materials. In this way I am working to break free of the cycles of consumerism and the throwaway lifestyle that causes so much harm to people, animals and the planet we call home.
